Artist's Description
Inside of the main entrance to Forest Lawn Cemetery stands a bronze statue of a fireman on top of a granite pedestal. Engraved on the pedestal is the names of seven firefighters who died while fighting fires, dating from the mid-1800s to the late 1800s. It was erected by the Firemen's Benevolent Association in 1901. Surrounding the monument in a circle are the headstones of approximately 100 other firemen who are buried here.

I am a photographer located in Western New York with 20 years experience. I got my start with my Grandfather's Minolta x-700 while at Boston University working in B&W film. Hours in the darkroom have been replaced with hours behind the computer screen after I made the switch to digital about ten years ago. This has given me the ability to more accurately portray the scene as I remember it. I predominately shoot nature, landscape and urban/cityscape photography, freezing a moment in time that will never happen again. Taking the time to capture these moments is one of the great pleasures in my life. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
