Description
Signs, they are everywhere, if only we open our eyes to see them.
I was driving when I glanced over and saw this. I stopped my truck in its tracks. So many go through life with blinders on.Its easy to ignore the signs all around us as.

A little about this photo :
I took this while I was on my way to shoot my Buffalo grain Elevators photos. This was before I took those.
There are railroad tracks near here with an interesting section of rail I wanted to shoot... I did not have the right lens and did not like the resulting photo of that...
So I was driving to the next location and I glanced to my left at an old building on Republic Street, just before where I was going to turn to hamburg street.
The building had a couple of these old doors along a loading doc that had rails running parallel at one time.
On the loading dock someone had some wooden barrels and a wooden cross It was just the right time of day at the right time of year for that framing... at another time of year it would be lower in the door (as the sun would be higher in the sky)
Once I saw it I stopped. I knew it would not last long as the sun moved across the sky. I had to act fast.
I took half a dozen different shots trying to square up the door and the framing. Then I continued on to Grain Elevators. On my way back I looked over again and in the falling sun the shadow was way off to the right.
I did clean up another shadow that was casting but other then that this is the scene as I found it...
I had not planned on going there that day. I decided on my way out of the office that that sky would look good and Id try and get some more photos of the grain elevators before diner.
The route I took was not the most direct as I am not familiar with the area. I could have easily taken hamburg straight from South Park and missed this entirely

I agree: there are so many signs everywhere, and many walk right by without seeing. You are not one to not see... Thanks for sharing
