Description
Thick cover and light rain conceal the coming dawn. Green light, like a beacon, reflects off the wet wooden pier.
Water, cold, rushes beneath two spans over the Niagara.
This is the North and south bound South Grand Island Bridges.
The southbound span was opened in 1935, the northbound span was finished in 1963. The bridges are twin truss arch bridges with a steel through-arch in the middle.
