Description
Built in 1875, above the upper falls in Letchworth State park, the Portageville Viaduct is 820 feet long and 240 feet high and still in use today for rail traffic by Norfolk Southern. A new span is planned for this site for completion in 2016

What a great composition Chris! And...you got the train too! I loved my visit to Letchworth SP. It's such a beautiful area. L/F

thank you betty... I was staying in Mt. Morris for a couple of days for work and stopped there in the evenings... I was actually shooting the falls with another camera when the train started across and I had to quickly change things around... with the construction it will be a couple of years to get an unencumbered view...
